Literature Analysis

Literature Analysis at The Katherine Institute teaches students to critically evaluate texts on a deeper level: identifying subtext, red herrings, author agendas, moral complexity, and layered thematic meaning. Students learn to read with intention, question character motives, recognize manipulation or bias in narration, and uncover what the author is suggesting beneath the surface. The goal is to create readers who think critically, interpret nuance, and understand literature as a deliberate, strategic craft rather than a simple story.
