The Katherine Institute operates in a cozy, professional office within the Lee’s Summit Business Exchange Building. Our instructional space is designed intentionally for focus, engaging instruction, and academic achievement.
The classroom accommodates 6 to 8 students at a time, allowing for true small-group instruction, business simulations, guided practice, and structured discussion. This size ensures every student receives direct attention and consistent expectations while also benefiting from collaborative learning.
The room is fully equipped with modern instructional technology, including:
- Touchscreen Chromebooks for interactive lessons, simulations, and digital assignments
- A Smart Board — unlike a TV or smart TV, a Smart Board allows the instructor and students to write, draw, annotate, move objects, and interact directly with the screen for hands-on demonstrations and modeling
- A document camera for real-time modeling of math problems, writing techniques, note-taking, and step-by-step demonstrations
- All essential manual-work materials (like pencils, pens, highlighters) required for math practice, rough drafts, annotation, planning, and other paper-based tasks
Our classroom blends structure, comfort, and professional tools to ensure students can think clearly, work effectively, and engage meaningfully with their learning. It is an educational sanctuary purposefully built to support high-quality teaching, academic rigor, fun and egaging activities, and measurable progress.
